Hey everyone, long time no see, and Happy Halloween! We’ve heard your requests, taken a long time to think them over, and have decided to say goodbye to the cat’s meow (and the turbo’s warp, or something.) After 5 years of development on the Scratch development platform, we’re starting over and moving ship to the Godot Engine!
While exciting, this is a major change in development, as while your favorite characters aren’t going anywhere (they’ll still be made in Scratch’s trusty vector editor), PCTM and its devs have never ventured too far out from block code. We’re glad to have a small community of people who can help us with the move, and we hope the game becomes all the better because of it. (Speaking of our community, join us on Discord!)
There isn’t much to show at this moment, but please take a video made by creator and head developer Danny on testing out some of Godot’s 2D capabilities.
The music this time is Petalburg from Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door.
With the move, we might even be able to incorporate elements of 3D into the game! The
Z-axis has never felt so sweet.
And that’s all for now! Thanks for sticking by us, and we hope the game will only
improve from here (any more increase in scope might kill us, though.) See you around!
